Igor Palmer Igor Palmer - Founder

Igor is the founder of Innovation River Inc. He is also the CEO of Sun In Motion Pty.Ltd, a Sydney start-up designing solar electrification solutions.

Throughout his career, Igor has held various technical and managerial positions ranging from Software R&D Engineer to BI consulting - managing large scale BI and EI Systems within large financial services conglomerates. He is also a prolific innovator and inventor, with inventions in various areas of Oil and Gas, Chemical, Information Systems and Military.

Igor earned Master's degree from Curtin University of Technology. His research interests are in the sphere of cybernetics and human cognitive dexterity within human/machine integration. He is also fluent in Russian and Hungarian languages.

Igor lives in Sydney, and in his spare time he likes working on all sorts of metal fabrication projects.
Lindsay Brown Lindsay Brown - Director

Lindsay graduated with honours from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Civil Project Engineering and Management. He works for the NSW Roads and Maritime Services.

As a project engineer, he was also working in Bridge Assessment & Evaluation Section, specializing in heavy loads assessment for highway bridges and has been involved in the construction of Australia’s longest incrementally launched bridge.

Recently, he was the lead designer of the twin launched steel bridges, which involved Australia’s longest cantilevered structure of its kind as it was launched over the railway that services the world’s largest coal terminal at Newcastle. Lindsay has co-authored three papers in the load assessment and detailed design fields.

Lindsay resides in Sydney, but enjoys escaping to the bush for camping, recreational hunting, and fishing. He also holds a Graduate Diploma of Divinity.
Andrew King Andrew King - Director

Andrew is a professional engineer with 35 years of experience in NSW planning and building civil infrastructure including roads, stormwater systems, traffic facilities, parks and playing fields. Specializing in Transport System engineering, he is heavily involved with the integration of the Sydney Metro Rail Project into local transport networks on north western Sydney and currently works as Manager - Infrastructure Planning & Projects with The Hills Shire Council in Sydney. He joined the Innovation River Inc board in October 2015. Andrew brings a unique blend of engineering expertise and management of large scale infrastructure projects within local government.

Andrew holds Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree and MBA qualifications as well as being a member of several related professional associations.

Dr. Simon So Dr. Simon So - Director

Simon is a graduate of the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery, is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists and is a Fellowship trained lnterventional Radiologist.

He works at Westmead Hospital as a Diagnostic and lnterventional Radiologist with interests in lnterventional Oncology including chemoembolisation, radioembolisation and percutaneous tumour ablation with regular involvement with tumour boards. Simon teaches at the Universities of Sydney, Western Sydney and Notre Dame Australia.

Simon lives with his family in Sydney and enjoys travel, tinkering in his workshop and has followed the Manly Sea Eagles for many years.

Ivan Ruchkin Ivan Ruchkin - Director

Ivan is a researcher and practitioner in Software Engineering and Computer Science. His areas of interest include design, modeling, verification, and development environments for software and cyber-physical systems.

Ivan received his Masters degree in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2014, and his Specialist degree in mathematics and computer science from Lomonosov Moscow State University in Russia in 2011. He is currently working towards a PhD in Software Engineering at Carnegie Mellon.

Living in Pittsburgh, PA, Ivan likes to travel, run long distances, or ideally combine the two.

Shennon Reshno Shannon Reshno - Director

Shannon brings to the leadership of Innovation River Inc significant experience in Application Engineering, project management, sales marketing and change management in Mining and Manufacturing industries. Currently Shannon works full time for Innovation River Inc. as Executive direct of sales, marketing and operation (APAC), covering national and International markets. As part of his managerial role and business engagements, Shannon travels extensive in Australia and globally.

He also worked in Australia and Asia for various engineering enterprises where he drove revenue growth for the enterprises whilst at the same time strategically aligning businesses under his direction to leverage competitive advantages both nationally and internationally.

Shannon’s tertiary qualifications include Master of Engineering; MBA and Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance.

Shannon lives in Sydney and in his spare time he enjoys scuba diving, sailing, bush walking and spending time with his little boy; Luke.
Paul Stevenson Paul Stevenson - Director

Paul is highly qualified in Mathematics and Computer Science having studied 6 years full time at the University of Tasmania and holds degrees in B.Sc. (HONS), B.A., Dip O.R.

He is an advanced software developer and he has over 25 years experience with managing teams of high tech software developers, in Australia and in Silicon Valley.

Over his extensive career he has been involved in the development of commercial software for circuit board design with Protel/Altium, graphic data warehousing and enterprise workflow of commercial embroidery with Wilcom, automated pattern resizing with Refactor, customs and logistics management with CargoWise, and real-estate management with Console/Onthehouse.com.

He runs his own iOS application development business (Dependency) which specialises in applications for Education. And he is currently contracted to Telstra working on their internet TV solutions.

These days Paul enjoys the quieter life of Launceston, Tasmania where he enjoys bushwalking and fishing in his free time.

Dr Tassos Dr. Tassos Golnas - Expert Consultant

Tassos is expert in solar technologies.

He worked in various R&D, consulting and management positions with High-Tech companies such as SunEdison, Advantest America Inc., NanoGram and NeoPhotonics Corp., and Applied Materials Inc.

His responsibilities included managing the due diligence process towards emerging technology vendors, contributing to the definition of the company’s technology roadmap, and coordinating the Continuous Improvement Plan activities based on the analysis of the power-plants’ performance.

Currently Tassos is consulting with the World Bank as well as working a senior strategic analyst with the US Department of Energy.

Tassos received his B.Sc. in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University.

Tassos is also a Director of Sun In Motion Pty.Ltd.

Dr Amr Dr.Amr Abdelhamid Al-Awamry - Expert Panel Leader

Dr.Amr graduated from Benha Faculty of Engineering, Industrial Electronics Department. He earned Ph.D. in Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University in 2012.

Amr worked with Embedded Systems in many research and development centers in Egypt, developing various Telecom products.

Amr has authored and co-authored several scientific and engineering papers on telecommunication and sensors topics.

He is Associate Professor at Benha University, Faculty of Engineering. He is also pursuing research in Wireless Sensor Networks and IoT technologies and how such technologies can be integrated with renewable energy smart grids.

Amr is also a Director of Sun In Motion Pty.Ltd.

Anton Staroverov Anton Staroverov - Web Director

Anton is a professional Product Manager, UX Designer and Front End Developer, all-in-one. He joined the Innovation River Inc board in July 2015. He brings a wealth of experience in managing complex web development projects.

Anton graduated with honors from Lomonosov Moscow State University majoring in Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics. He also studied Business Informatics in Higher School of Economics and holds a certificates in Project Management as well as in Program & Portfolio Management.

Currently he is working on a new concept of Content Management Systems (CMS) based on the Atomic Design principles.

Anton was born near the ancient city of Prague but now lives in Moscow where he likes to play frisbee ultimate, beach volleyball and doing trampoline gymnastics.

Anton also the CIO of Sun In Motion Pty.Ltd.

 

 

Professor Leslie George Kemeny
In memory of Professor Leslie G. Kemeny (1932-2016)
Former Director - pioneer of Innovation Tap Inc. & Innovation River Inc.

Professor Leslie Kemeny was a visiting Professorial Research Fellow who has taught at British, American and Australian Universities and has lectured in the field of nuclear science and engineering worldwide.

Leslie was a distinguished nuclear scientist and engineer who was also involved in the design team of Europe's first nuclear power station and its first nuclear marine propulsion unit. He was a Chartered Professional consulting nuclear engineer and physicist with international practices involving government agencies and private industry. Leslie was also the Australian Foundation Member of the International Nuclear Energy Academy. In Australia, he helped to establish the Nuclear Panel of Engineers Australia as well as chaired many National and International scientific conferences.

Leslie's research interests spanned from development, commissioning and operation of safe nuclear energy power plants to uses of radiation in Medicine, Agriculture and Industry.
